Useful information for your excursions in Ibiza

We have compiled all useful tips and information about the cruise port or the most famous sights you should visit below

The most beautiful sights in Ibiza

Dalt Vila

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Ibiza’s top tourist attractions. On the sidewalk of the fortress walls, formerly used to protect the city, you can have a fantastic view of Ibiza Town. Amidst the arrow streets, the archaeological museum and the Cathedral of Santa Maria will make a visit to the Old town worthwhile.

Cova de can Marca

Cova de can Marca is a dripstone cave that originated about 100 thousand years ago. With its underground waterfalls, it is one of the most popular attractions in Ibiza today. In the past, smugglers used the cave as a secret hiding place, whose markings can still be found in the cave today.

It is located near Puerto de San Miguel, a small holiday resort in the north of Ibiza and can be reached from San Antonio by bus number 22 or from Ibiza Town by bus number 25. Guided tours are offered every hour, also in English.

Es Vedrà

The uninhabited rock island of Es Vedrà is only about 2 km (1.2 miles) from the west coast of Ibiza. In the past only goats lived on this 380-meter-high island (1,247 ft), which all have been relocated due to the endangerment of the vegetation. Myths say that UFOs can be sighted here, compasses do not work, or that Es Vedrà is the tip of the Atlantis.

The best view of this magical island is from Cala d’Hort beach or from a car park on the road from Cala d-Hort to Sant Josep de sa Talaia. You can also visit the island with an excursion boat.

Sant Antoni de Portmany

Approximately 20 km (12.4 miles) from the town is one of the most popular tourist towns and at the same time the largest city on the west coast: Sant Antoni de Portmany. This former fishing village is located on a beautiful bay, where you can relax during the day and watch breathtaking sunsets in the evening. Numerous clubs and bars, including the well-known Café del Mar, also make nightlife in the city exciting and a thrilling holiday destination.

By bus line 3 you can travel from Ibiza Town directly to Sant Antoni.

Map of cruise port in Ibiza

The berths of the Pier Botafoc are a bit out far from the city, so it is advisable to take the shuttle service provided by the shipping companies. The fees will vary from one company to another. Transfer time is about 10 minutes. When booking an organized Ibiza shore excursion, your guide will be waiting for you on site.

If your ship moors at the “Duques de Alba“, you do not need a shuttle because this mooring is within walking distance of Ibiza Town.

From the port you also have the opportunity to take a trip to Formentera. The ferries leave every 30 minutes in peak season.
