In the basement of the palace you will find numerous small shops where you can buy souvenirs, jewelry or postcards. You can also admire archaeological exhibits.
Medjugorje
Medjugorje, a pilgrimage site in Bosnia-Herzegovina is located approximately an 1.5 hour drive from split. In addition to several places of worship, there are sights such as the St. Jacobus church, which was built in the 19th century, as well as the Kreuzberg, which is 0.6 miles away. Marjan
Close to Diocletian’s Palace is Marjan Park. This is an approximately 590 ft high peninsula mountain, which offers a breathtaking view of the city and the surrounding islands. The park invites you to come relax, walk and is also used for sports activities. There is also a small zoo on the mountain.
